 MATTHUE TRIKX, self-proclaimed "Ultramodernist and the North East's best kept secret" unveils his 'Geordie Superheros Save The world' in The Sculptured Eye Gallery in September.

Trikx describes this work as "A timely and heartfelt personal salute to one of the North East's favorite sons, this affectionate, yet tongue in cheek celebration of Geordie pride contrasts the honest integrity of the region's showbiz and sporting royalty with the annoying vulgarity of mainstream celebrity culture and the dreaded beast that is the credit crunch.  You may also spot a reference to the flu everybody is so scared of right now!

The intention of the piece is to give hope and encouragement to all who see it, with the message that with hard work and good strategy, we can pull our collective socks up and get through these troubled times..."

The sculptured eye gallery is a large open-air courtyard for large scale sculptures, murals, grafitti art and installations -  a space unique in the North East of England.
